The old crescent of Jumadal Ula 1445 AH was seen by binocular on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from Rowasiya Observatory at Bendo Ketitang Juwiring Klaten Central Java Indonesia. The sky was clear.

The Astronomical New Moon (conjunction) is on December 12, 2023 (Tuesday) at 23:32 UT.
On December 12, the moon can not be seen any where in the world. On December 13, it can be seen with difficulty in South Africa and Central America, and with ease in South America.
On December 14, it can be seen in almost the whole world (See visibility curves).

The new crescent of Jumadal Tsaniya 1445 AH was not sighted on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from Assalaam Observatory at PPMI Assalaam, Pabelan Kartasura Sukoharjo Central Java Indonesia. The west sky was cloudy.

On the evening of Wednesday 13 December 2023, the Hilaal was NOT sighted in South Africa. Therefore Jumad-al-Aakhirah 1445 will commence on Friday, 15 December 2023 in South Africa.

- Not Seen: The Moon-Sighting Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars of North America announces that Friday, December 15th, 2023 will be the first day of the month of Jumada al-Akhira, 1445 A.H. for the entire region of North America. There were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, in any region of North America. Therefore, Thursday, December 14th, 2023 will be the last day of Jumada al-Ula, 1445. A.H.

We have sighted the moon for jamada al Thani the weather was clear and the crescent was quite high and easily to be seen , so tomorrow Friday 15th of December is the first of jamada al thani 1445H.

The Crescent moon was first sighted at 17:56 with Binocular and later sighted with Naked Eye at 18:02.�

The crescent moon for the month of Jumada Al-Thani 1445 was sighted today Thursday 14th December here in Al Khor, Qatar.

This evening (Thursday, December 14, 2023), the crescent moon was sighted in Blacksburg, VA. Using a pair of binoculars (7X50), I sighted the crescent at 1:58 pm EST. I could not see it with naked eye, however. The horns were approximately at 1:00 and 4:30 O'clock. The sky was clear.
Later in the day, I attempted an evening sighting. I arrived at my sighting location at 4:56 pm (actual sunset 5:06 pm). The western horizon was mostly clear. Using a pair of binoculars (7X50), I located the crescent at 4:58 pm, followed by naked eye sighting. The horns were approximately at 1:30 and 6:30 O'clock. I left the sighting location at 5:45 when the moon was still a few degrees over horizon (moonset: 6:42 pm).
